SIG HubSign in

One network.
Every SIG a line on it.

SIG Hub runs a Student Interest Group’s whole semester — events, registration, attendance, projects, and the record that outlives the committee. Built by a SIG, around the work of running one.

NYP Cloud’s semester, drawn as one line. Difficulty is part of the notation, so a first-year can see at a glance which stops are theirs.

Registration that closes itself

Capacity is enforced, not advisory. When a workshop fills, the next person joins a waitlist with a real position — and takes the place automatically when someone drops out.

Signed ticket

Carries an HMAC signature, so a screenshot passed to a friend fails at the door.

Every registration issues a signed ticket. A committee member scans it on their own phone, and the roster updates as the queue moves. No paper list, no spreadsheet reconciled afterwards.

Attendance becomes the record a committee hands over — who came, to what, across the whole year.

Built to carry more than one SIG

Every event, member and record is scoped to its SIG from the start. A second SIG joining is a new line on the same network — its own colour, its own committee, its own data.

Why it isn’t SLIS

The Student Life InfoSystem is admin-first. It exists to serve the school’s records — CCA points, official attendance — and nothing a SIG needs on a Thursday evening lives in it.

SIG Hub inverts that. It is built around running a workshop; the reporting falls out of the work, rather than the work being shaped to fit the reporting.
